Abstract
JBA’s created the first ever India Flood Model. The probabilistic flood model for river and surface water in 23 major Indian cities combines flood hazard maps and 10,000 years of simulated events with a built environment model and bespoke vulnerability curves.
Model Components
  • Output Event Loss Table (ELT)
  • Output Year Loss Table (YLT)
  • Occurrence Exceedance Probabilities (OEP)
  • Aggregate Exceedance Probabilities (AEP)
  • Annual Average Loss (AAL)
  • Default vulnerability functions (for multiple exposure types)
  • Included hazard model(s)
